Welcome to Grandmere's Inn
Bed and Breakfast

This distinctive estate was built in 1856 atop Nob Hill by Aaron A. Sargent, U.S. Senator, prominent publisher and early Nevada City settler. Sargent championed legislation to create the Transcontinental Railroad and, with wife Ellen initiated a bill giving women the right to vote. In 1985 the Sargent's home was lovingly restored and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Well, we've had a big change! The Home has been sold and is no longer operating as a Bed and Breakfast. As of December 01, 2004 the Home in now a private residence.

Since the sale/transaction was done rather quickly, we have selected The Parsonage Bed and Breakfast Inn at 427 Broad Street, just one block closer to town to accommodate all our Guest needs, Reservations, Gift Certificates and future bookings.

We thank you for all your years of patronage and know that your visit to Nevada City will be just as wonderful with Chuck and Susan Shea at The Parsonage Bed and Breakfast Inn.

If you have any questions, or need assistance please contact Chuck or Susan at The Parsonage Bed and Breakfast Inn at 530-265-9478.
